modern technology is the best!

Jeremy and I have been able to chat via webcam twice now!!! It was great! (This is a huge improvement from last deployment!!!) The first time was very overwhelming, because I hadn't 'seen' him since he left so I was kinda emotional, but hey, thats expected! I had been in PJs and sleeping due to the time difference, but I don't mind a wake up call at 1am. I got a tour of his room, met his roommate, and got to see out the window. Lots of sand. He seems to be doing very well, working, going to the gym, and he said the chow hall has GREAT cookies! He is very appreciative of all the mail and packages from everyone!! Mail seems to be arrive in about 7-10 days, so its not bad at all. One of my close friends had her elementary students write letters and send a package. They were so excited when they received a THANK YOU letter! They thought it was the coolest thing. I have been bugging him to write a blog or send a picture to keep everyone updated, so I'll keep bugging him! Here is a photo from our web cam chat.
