13,245 miles later

Spring break is over :( The first weekend was spent in Charlotte, and then I drove 8 hours north, took an unexpected tour of Hershey Park (I am investing in GPS) and finally made it home. I didn't have much planned while home which was really nice. We did some wedding errands, and I got to see my cousin, and of course a date night with Susan and Kristen. Old friends are the best! We also drove to Allentown for some family time with Nana and Poppop. My mom and I went antiquing, and actually got some Shuey's Pretzels. Last time I got up at 7am to stand in the freezing cold to wait in line for pretzels, they ran out about 10 people in front of us. You should never go the Saturday before Christmas - lesson learned! Those of you 'out of towners' don't understand how serious people are about pretzels in Lancaster County. They take up about 3/4 of the snack food aisle, and then the chips start. Lets be real, who eats Rold Gold's? When you can have Shueys, Hammonds, Sturgis, 'Splits', Utz, Herrs - just to name a few. Lancaster County-ians also know the difference between beer, sourdough, hard, nuggets, sticks, handmade and many other various pretzel styles. We also know that beer isn't the only match made for pretzels- they go great with ICE CREAM TOO!! Oh, yeah, I am a certified pretzel maker and my home town is the home of the 1st pretzel factory in America (1861)! Some towns even 'drop' a pretzel to ring in the New Year!! Crazy.
