Kickin' off the summer!

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend! I got to spend mine with lots of my favorite people! The best visitor came all the way from Pennsylvania! My long time zebra huntin' friend Susan flew down for a long weekend. It had been almost a year since we last hung out so the time together was very fun! Miss Anna was also in town and we go to take her to her first minor league baseball game. We were a little scared about the foul balls - but everyone in our section was well aware of the crazy red head baby and would scream when they came our direction. (They did all night!! HAHA)

Anna clearly not even phased by the foul balls!
Ashley and I at Third Eye Blind ...What do they sing besides doo doo doo doo doo dooo?!? I went to Raleigh with Ashley to celebrate her engagement with a Kentucky Derby themed party. We even had mint juleps and hot browns :) Her sister was an excellent host and party planner.
Celebrating Marc's Birthday earlier in May.
Susan and I enjoying the OG bar! What a funny night we had. We also did a poor man's trip to the lake. Pool floaties and a cooler ... no boat! We parked along side of the road and walked down to Hidden Beach where there were some other people hanging out and had a great time with some of my tiger friends.
We were probably laughing at my awesome pirate jokes. I think they are great - but the jury is still out!

Other news on the home front:: MY TOMATOES ARE GROWING!! I am so excited about my garden. I have about 6 tomato plants, some herbs:: basil, cilantro, parsley and oregano, and I killed the salad. (Yes, I mean lettuce! I was so upset about the rain that flooded the pot, I actually called it salad!)

You can still plant some more! Little grammy would plant seeds all summer long. If you let it grow to long it gets bitter so she would pull it out by the roots and plant more as the season went on.It will start to sprout in about 7 days and be ready to eat in 2- 3 weeks. Just don't over water it. LOL
