Tasty Weekend

YUM-O! What a cookin' weekend it was. Friday Night Pizza was a success, and it was followed by an excellent Sunday dinner.  Every time I make/eat pork chops I go through this whole process of deciding if I like them or not. Well with this recipe, it was love at first bite.  Skillet Pork Chops Saute with Peaches The peaches were very ripe to begin with and by pairing them with all the other ingredients it made an awesome sauce.  I found if you cut the chop just before you plate it, the juices get soaked up, making it even better!  This recipe was compliments of my Cooking Light magazine!

Next up is dessert.  It is currently still in the freezer for its final freeze stage.  Key Lime Pie Ice Cream sounded fun and festive for the summer! Keeping me in the mood of The Keys from my recent vacation, I decided to whip it up.  The few tastes I have had so far seem promising but the verdict is still out!  I stumbled upon this recipe in this month's Southern Living!

Yay! I'm so glad that you're writing about cooking on your blog again. We are entering a new dynamic with our new commutes and it's good...but it's also weird.

And speaking of weird--store dough will be like that because of those ruthless yeasts! It helps to prick the dough with a fork before putting it into the oven, and it also helps to bake it a bit before adding the toppings.

I hope the commutes don't mess up the dinner hour to much!! I did pre bake the dough a bit to avoid the soggy factor! Might not have been a perfectly round pie- but it was awesome.
