Family Car Rides

Family car rides don't change much over the years. Kids in the back seat sleep or whining about how long it takes to get to a relatives house, you re-explain how your related to these people, and tell them to try whatever kind of food is put on your plate.

Fast forward, 26 years, I'm sure my parents thought the kid in the back seat would split the driving time, gas money, and provide intellectual conversation instead of whining and sleeping... Yea not much has changed. While I'm a better traveler then I was when I was little, I still go stir crazy if I'm not sleeping.

This trip has been low key, no holiday melt downs ( so far) and we have packed the car, brought holiday gifts, snacks, and cheer..... And still are smiling after approximately 4 hours in the car.

Passenger 1, driving so they have full control of air temperature < I'm freezing>, potty stops and lunch breaks. < have not approached this subject yet>

Passenger 2, when not knitting is painting her nails. This is either done to help her continue her holiday cheer, or hope we fall asleep after breathing the concentrated fumes so we stop bugging her.

Passenger 3, sleeping or blogging. I really wish I had a myfi, or fancier phone. Hope I can publish this.

keep you posted on the family affairs this Thanksgiving break!
