Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ...

I woke up to the sound of my dad shoveling Saturday morning. That sound can only mean one thing at 7:30 in the morning ... its time for a last minute run to the grocery store. Instead of preparing for the snow Friday night, we went shopping so we could spend the day snowed in wrapping Christmas presents. This meant we were late for the milk, bread, dvds.... But things change when you are snowed in and above the age of twenty one. Dad was headed to the grocery store - and - the beer distributor :) As the snow kept falling, my mom and I wrapped Christmas presents, made lots of snack mixes, and watched movies. We headed out for a late night sleigh ride, and delivered holiday cheer to the neighbors. We had about 10 inches of snow or more, so walking up the hill was real work - definitely not as easy as it used to be!

This is me digging out lots of clothes to try and stay warm under snow pants. It was at this point I realized sledding is probably the world's worst first date idea - because lets be real, this outfit is NOT cute :)My mom and I had a fashion with just about all the winter clothes we had in the house. Have to make sure you are sledding in style! Here we all are bundled up ready to go! The wind was soooo cold it made sledding down the hill miserable. It was one of those nights were you just prayed you didn't run into a mailbox because you were trying to cover your face!Sledding as an adult only means one thing is different. You don't come inside for hot chocolate, you drink beer with your neighbors in between sleigh rides and snow shoveling :)The snow is still here, and its still cold! Looks like we will be having a white Christmas. I just hope the airport gets cleared out, so Jeremy has a quick and easy flight in on Christmas Eve! Katie and Allen will be driving up so hopefully the roads will be ok for them too! I'll blog after Santa comes to town! Merry early Christmas!
