photo shoot

My dad is a photography teacher, so taking family, prom, or vacation pictures has always been a major event. He changes the backdrop by taking things off the wall or puts up a sheet for texture and color change, puts "x" on the carpet so people know where to stand, and normally does a run through with at least one of the photo subjects so they can help place people. Tripods, extra lenses, and flashes are always around. He takes great photos and the extra effort is well worth it. Growing up, the camera was know as the third child, and it was always accounted for before getting in the car.

Anyway, he is testing some new b/w film he is using in his class, so he had to go burn a few rolls in order to develop them. So i thought I'd tag along. I am really excited to develop the film, and use the enlarger to make some prints. Hopefully there are some good photos - its really different having to wait for shots because everyone is so used to digital these days. Don't get me wrong, I love dig, but its kinda exciting not know what the camera captured. Hopefully I didn't forget everything I learned when I took class years go in high school....

Here is a digital picture that I took while we were out.
