Happy 4th!!!
Let the fireworks begin! The 4th has always been my favorite holiday, and now it was even more of special meaning! In my hometown (Lititz, PA) they host a huge 4th of july celebration! This year marks the 192nd :) It starts the night before, with a parade, concert, yummy food, and lots of people. The day of the fireworks, the park opens extra early, so you can put down your blanket and chairs to claim your family's spot to watch the fireworks. After that, the park closes, and the activities kick off again before lunch. More concerts, dance shows, a baby parade, Queen of Candles, and the Grand Illumination of Candles all take place before the great firework show!
Here is a picture of the early bird blanket crew, who claimed our territory!!(Thanks kate and allen!!) The softball field will look like patchwork quilt by about 9am.
I'll post more pictures tomorrow! Happy 4th! God Bless all our troops and their families! Thanks for all you do!
