Waiting by the telephone...

Since Jeremy's departure for Iraq 2 days ago, I have been waiting by the telephone, and stalking my inbox in hopes of a message of safe arrival. He just started his second deployment, and I am already counting down an imaginary number of days until he comes home again! I am really new to the blog world, but I am hopeful that it will help us keep in touch while Jeremy is gone.

We spent four days with family and friends in NC, Jonathon even flew in from Nebraska! (We missed you Pate) It was bittersweet - great to catch up with everyone, but sad because we were gathering to say goodbye. After lots of yummy food, including a low country boil and mema's biscuits, it was time to say 'see ya later' and head back to Clemson. Drake wasn't to happy that we were both leaving him, but I am sure he will enjoy his stay and be spoiled to death.

I haven't told Jeremy about me being a 'blogger' yet, but I am sure he will make fun of me, and then gladly read along :)
